When witches go riding,
and black cats are seen,
the moon laughs and whispers,
‘tis near Halloween.

I can't believe it's the last day of October! This year is flying by as fast as a witch on her broomstick. :) We had a wonderful Halloween together. Students worked hard all day despite the excitement of the holiday.
We began Unit 3 in math this week. Students found missing numbers and rules while solving addition, subtraction, multiplication and division problems. We will also work on estimating costs using mental math, solving partial sums addition problems with 2 and 3 digit numbers and column addition. Students will have a Home Link for homework each night.
Our spelling rule this week involves words with long e this week. Students will have a one sided spelling assignment each night for homework.
Thank you to my wonderful room moms and all of the other parents who helped with our Halloween party on Friday. Thank you to the parents that chaperoned our field trip to the high school as well.
Have a fantastic week! :)
